Pickle

Take a can opener to my forehead
Twist the knob until the contents inside present themselves
And with both hands
Scoop out my thoughts
Fill their absence with salt
To preserve or ferment whatever may be viable
Cut off the gangrene
Even a rotten vegetable is good for pickling.
